I'm heartbroken that HMG has lost such a caring physician. He was so welcoming to me when I joined HMG, and he was a great colleague to work with. He truly put his life on the line in caring for his patients, and for this he will always be admired and respected. My prayers go out to his family and to the "family" he has created through his work legacy. He will be missed.

Dr. Martin was a phenomenal physician, great friend, and colleague. He always sat in front of me at the HMG Board Meetings, extremely friendly and had never really met a stranger. I loved his conversation all the time. My Daughter Sarah says he was her absolute favorite physician in the Urgent Care Facility in Kingsport. We will miss him for sure! Prayers and thoughts to the family during this time of grief.

I loved working with Dr Martin when I would cover urgent care at sapling grove. He was always so kind and sweet hearted and his patients loved him. I missed so much seeing him walking around sapling grove urgent care when I would go to work there. I missed him so dearly. Things just arent the same without him. He was a good man, a great doctor and the sweetest soul I have ever met. Always smiling, laughing and just pleasant to work with. Praying for peace for the family and for the sapling grove and kingsport urgent care family that loved Dr Martin so much. This is a big big loss.

Dr. Martin was my supervising physician when I came to urgent care. He challenged me, taught me, pushed me, and stood by me! He became my friend, we shared many laughs and enjoyed griping about the crappy day we had at times. He shared his Kind bars from his lunch on late evenings when I was hungry. He had my back no matter what situation surfaced. He loved and protected us all in urgent care and we felt the same about him. There will always be a piece missing from HMG Urgent Care and from our hearts. Christy Danser

Dr. Martin seemed to always be in good spirits, I would ask him how he was in the mornings and he would always say "cant complain for an old man". He was always there to help anyone in any way he could and he will be greatly missed.

It is so sad to loose one of our family members. My prayers go out to his family, friends, and close co-workers. It does leave a hole in our hearts when we loose one of our family members. God Bless Dr. Martin. Robin

Dr. Martin will be missed. I did not work with him a lot but when I moonlighted in the urgent care during residency, he always had a smile on his face and willing to help wherever he was needed. RIP Dr. Martin; thank you for all you have contributed and to all those you have helped.
